Phi Kite School has grown alongside the development of kitesurfing at My Hoa Lagoon.
Our team works with complete beginners, independent riders and experienced kiters who want to improve specific skills.
The lagoon provides space for learning and progression, while the surrounding coastline offers different conditions for riders looking for a greater challenge.
Whether you are taking your first lesson, returning to the sport or arriving without equipment, our team can help organise your time on the water.
LEARN SAFELY
Our lessons are structured around your experience, confidence and goals rather than forcing every student through the same programme.
First Kite Experience
A relaxed introduction for anyone who wants to try kitesurfing before committing to a complete course.
Learn about the wind, equipment and basic kite control with an instructor beside you.
Beginner Course
Build the skills needed to become an independent rider.
The course progresses through equipment setup, safety systems, kite control, body dragging, water starts and riding practice.
Progression Lessons
Already riding but want to improve?
Work on transitions, upwind riding, stronger water starts, jumping or another specific skill with focused coaching.
Private and Group Lessons
Choose private instruction for maximum personal attention or enquire about group lessons when travelling with friends or family.

1 to 6 hours = $60/hour
7 plus hours = $55/hour
Group Lesson = $40/hour/person
Equipment Rental
Rent your equipment at the spot
Independent riders can hire equipment directly from the Phi Kite School kite station.
Rental availability depends on rider ability, wind conditions and current equipment stock. Our team will help select suitable equipment for the conditions and your experience.

Proof of independent riding ability may be required before equipment is released.

Inside the reef, the lagoon provides flatter water that can help beginners develop kite control and riding skills.
More experienced riders can explore the different conditions available around the reef and coastline, depending on the wind, tide and swell.
Conditions change throughout the year and from day to day. Speak with the kite-school team before launching, particularly if you are unfamiliar with the reef, tides or local riding areas.
SAUNA & ICE BATH

Our sauna and ice bath offer the perfect way to relax tired muscles, cool down after a session and enjoy a simple recovery ritual as part of your stay at Phi Kite School.
